Time Matters v10 SP3 Hotfix

The latest release of Time Matters is the SP3 Hotfix released to customers on July 14, 2010, and available for download from Time Matters Updates. This Hotfix corrects Microsoft Office 2010 issues.

 

Last year LexisNexis also introduced the Time Matters Annual Maintenance and Support Plan (AMP).  This plan makes it easier to be on the latest version of Time Matters and provides access to Technical Support during the contract term.

We can also assist you with versions of the product that are no longer supported by LexisNexis.  However, we would like to discuss the benefits of an upgrade for your firm.  At this time, LexisNexis is supporting the current version 10 in addition to versions 8 and 9.

Tips & Tricks

The Time Matters Service Center and Support Center are great resources available to help you with your Time Matters software.  In addition, the CIC Solutions Forum provides a wealth of information related to this great application.

 

Time Matters Issue:

Users have TM 10 installed on the server and client. The Server will launch TM and allow you to login and logout fine.  When you launch TM 10 on the client - an error appears: Application Already in Use.  This is a single user version of Application and someone else is already logged in. The person must exit. There is no one else logged in.

Cause: The file tmlctlx.tps cannot be accessed by the client because it is locked. This file is unique to TM 10 Single User installations. It is located in the main File Locations. This may be because of an upgrade from previous TM versions.

Solution: From the server, delete the tmlctlx.tps file. The client should now be able to launch TM 10 and be prompted to login.
