Timeslips User Group Planning

I am currently working with the Timeslips Project Manager Ronda Horsham on a Timeslips User Group Meeting (TSUG) in February 2009.

 

We hope to hold the event at the Sage Campus in Scottsdale.  Ronda has offered to fly in for the event and present on the future of the company and the product.

Lexis Front/Back Office 9: SR2 Build 9.1.14.288.  SR3A is in final beta testing and should be delivered by the end of November 2008.  Please be aware that there is a Technical Briefing regarding SR3. 

 

Time/Billing Matters 8: Service Release 2A Build 8.0.2.053.000.  SR2D will be delivered after Time Matters 9 SR3A.

 

Time/Billing Matters 7: Service Release 2C. 

 

LexisNexis has introduced the Time Matters Annual Maintenance and Support Plan.  This plan makes it easier to be on the latest version of Time Matters and provides access to Technical Support during the contract term.

Tips & Tricks

Windows and Windows programs aren't terribly efficient when it comes to cleaning up after themselves.  If a program needs additional resources, temporary files and folders may be created that don't get automatically removed.  Let me show you how to keep an eye on these files and folders on a regular basis!

 

Use Timeslips Station Administrator to check the Timeslips installation on your computer.  Close Timeslips, Word Perfect and any other program that might use the Borland Database Engine (BDE) and go to Start>Programs>Timeslips>Station Administrator.  Click the Options menu and then Diagnose This Computer.  Click OK to the prompt about BDE and run the utility.  Please contact me if you have issues.

 

Events or ToDo's to schedule a deadline in Time Matters?  I would recommend using an event record with the time set for 6am so it appears at the top of your calendar.  Use ToDo's for things it would be "nice" to get done today and set them to follow until marked done.  Manage your ToDo's from your ToDo list using appropriate quick tab and priority settings to help with the workflow.
