Sherwood Systems Certified on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
 We are pleased to announce that we are now certified on
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, a fully integrated customer
relationship management system.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM allows your sales, marketing
and service staff to easily share information and route
tasks, providing a more seamless experience for your
customers. And because Microsoft Dynamics CRM works like and
with familiar Microsoft products, there is less of a learning curve for
your employees.
Microsoft now offers a free Adaptor for Microsoft
Dynamics CRM 4.0 (CRM) and Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 (GP).
The Adaptor is an out-of-the-box tool which allows you
to move data between CRM and GP.
Sales Orders can be created in either system. Once
an order is submitted from CRM to GP, GP becomes the system of
record and the order is read-only in CRM.
In the case of the CRM Account and
GP Customer, the data is truly multi-mastered. Once the data
exists in both systems, an update to either system will cause the other
system to be updated - keeping the information in sync.
To introduce
our customers to the benefits of using CRM with GP, we are having
monthly CRM luncheons. Thanks to our customers who have shown
interest and attended our CRM luncheon in January. We will keep
you posted on the date for the next CRM luncheon in February.

The Time Clock is easy to use by
"computer-challenged" employees and runs on a personal
computer. Employee Time can be viewed from a Logbook and a
Calendar. Clocking out creates a time transaction in the logbook,
and transactions are posted to GP Payroll for preparation of payroll
checks, eliminating the need to manually type in hourly payroll
transactions.
Time Matrix now offers a Web Time Clock which enables
employees to clock in and out over the Internet using a web
browser.

Meet Sherwood Systems:
Tom Tapernoux, Programmer
Tom brings a wealth of enterprise class software
development experience to Sherwood Systems, along with a strong
accounting background.
Tom spent 20 years managing operations in the
construction industry before changing career paths in 1997. Since
then, he has been writing software solutions for businesses as an
independent consultant. His focus is on Visual Basic development,
as well as building Office VBA solutions.
Tom's recent accomplishments include passing the CRM 4.0
'Customization and Configuration' and 'Installation and Deployment'
certification tests - no easy task!
Tom enjoys golf, backpacking and skiing. Tom's
entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his development expertise and an
accounting background, is a rare find!
