How Cloud Computing Will

In 1990, in a keynote speech at the Comdex computer
conference, Microsoft's (MSFT) then-chief executive, Bill Gates,
bolstered his bona fides as a tech visionary when he declared the PC
industry would produce advances within a few years that would put information
at people's fingertips. To get there, Gates said, the world needed
three things: a more "personal" personal computer, more
powerful communications networks, and easy access to a broad range of
information. Sometimes visionaries are right on the vision but off on
the timing.
Only now is Gates' grand vision finally becoming a reality for
businesses. While pieces of what he had in mind have been available for
years, they typically were expensive and difficult to set up and use.
Now that more personal PC is here in the form of smartphones and
mini-laptops, and broadband wireless networks make it possible for
people to be connected almost anytime and anywhere. At the same time,
we're seeing the rise of cloud computing, the vast array of
interconnected machines managing the data and software that used to run
on PCs. This combination of mobile and cloud technologies is shaping up
to be one of most significant advances in the computing universe in
decades.

Microsoft Dynamics GP "11" Beta Program
The Microsoft Dynamics GP Rapid Deployment Team is
seeking customers to beta test Microsoft Dynamics GP
"11".
Nominees will ideally exercise the majority of Dynamics
GP product scenarios, but the priority focus is Dynamics GP SharePoint
integration, strong use of business intelligence tools, and customers
using both Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM.
Priority will also be given to participants that can
test certain key features of Microsoft Dynamics GP "11"
including Microsoft Word templates, emailing documents from Dynamics
GP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM adapter, dashboards, and unified
communications.
The top priority is, as always, enthusiastic
participants with the resources and support which will allow them to
successfully test, deploy, and provide feedback throughout the
estimated 6 month cycle.

Meet Sherwood Systems:
Linda Krawiecki, Senior Consultant
Linda Krawiecki brings a wealth of real world experience and knowledge
to Sherwood Systems. Linda joined Sherwood in 2002 after
working as a Corporate Controller for many years, and then starting her
own accounting and computer consulting practice in 1995. Linda's
vast knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP - and her early experience as
an end-user of Great Plains Accounting software - make her a valuable
asset to her customers.
Linda is our expert consultant for our JonelLink product due to her
in depth knowledge of Jonel Engineering's
operations software for the ready-mixed concrete and aggregate
industry. She is equally knowledgeable about Corridor, the aviation
services software which links our AeroLink product to
Microsoft Dynamics GP. Linda trains, implements, installs and
supports our customers all over the US - even as far away as
Guam!
In addition to traveling over 70% of the time, Linda continues to
develop and teach our new Web-based Microsoft Dynamics GP training
classes for our remote customers - as well as periodically doing
classroom training in Phoenix and Albuquerque.
Linda has lived in Albuquerque since 1987, with a short move to Nevada
in 1996 and 1997. When not working, Linda enjoys traveling and
scuba diving with her husband in exotic locations.
