LexisNexis_logoLexisNexis is pleased to announce that Time Matters® and Billing Matters® version 11 are now available for download at no additional cost to customers who currently subscribe to the LexisNexis® Time Matters® and/or Billing Matters® Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP).


Version 11 introduces the new Time Matters® Mobility service as well as other enhancements to the software:

  • The Time Matters Mobility service provides secure access to critical matter information, time and expense entry, and client contacts from Web-enabled mobile devices such as Apple® iPad®, Apple iPhone® and BlackBerry®, Android™ and Microsoft® Windows® 7 mobile devices.
  • Microsoft Windows Terminal Server support eliminates the need to install Time Matters and Billing Matters software on each desktop or laptop to give firm members and remote offices access to Time Matters and Billing Matters, significantly reducing the support burden on IT staff and your total cost of ownership.
  • Improved Time Matters integration with PCLaw® billing and accounting software allows you to send batch expense records and accelerates the transmission of billing items between the products.
  • Improved Time Matters integration with Juris® software increases the sizes of the matter and client number fields from Time Matters and helps ensure your billing addresses are updated.
  • New and updated integrations with HotDocs® User 10, Tabs3® Billing Software v15 (client/server version), Intuit® QuickBooks® 2010 and 2011, Corel® WordPerfect® X5, Microsoft Internet Explorer® 9, Mozilla® Firefox® 4 and Fujitsu® ScanSnap® desktop scanners enable your firm to leverage its previous technology investments.
  • Quality improvements based on customer change requests help your software and your firm's workflows run more efficiently.

Attention Time Matters and Billing Matters Version 8 Customers!

Effective September 30, 2011, LexisNexis will officially discontinue all phone-based support, service packs and hotfix releases for Time Matters and Billing Matters v8.  We strongly encourage you to start planning your transition to v11 today. 

 

You must update to a supported version of Time Matters and/or Billing Matters prior to September 30, 2011, for continued telephone support, Anytime Training, service packs and hotfix releases while your AMP is in effect.

News from Sage Timeslips

Timeslips 2012 is projected to be released by July 1, 2011. Allen has participated in Alpha testing and two rounds of Beta testing and likes what he sees in terms of interface changes, improved functionality and feature enhancements. 

 

A Non-Disclosure Agreement does not allow us to provide any further details; however, we suspect you will start to see upgrade offer mailings on or about May 1, 2011.  

 

Attention all Timeslips Remote customers and customers that need the ability to track their time records remotely!  Sage Timeslips will discontinue selling Timeslips Remote licenses effective May 1, 2011. 

 

Current Remote customers are encouraged to migrate to Sage Timeslips eCenter and can continue to use their existing licenses of Sage Timeslips Remote with Sage Timeslips 2012.  See Sage Timeslips - Remote Products End of Life for more information.
